Germany’s Nordex has won a contract from Adali Holding to build the 45MW Kiyiköy wind farm in the northern Turkish province of Tekirdag.

As per the deal, Nordex will deliver and install 15 N117/3000 Generation Delta turbines with a hub height of 91 metres.

The contract also includes provision of 10-year premium service.

The N117/3000 turbine, which is certified for wind class IEC 2, will be able to generate optimum yield.

Once completed, these wind farm will be to generate more than 170,000MWh of clean electricity per year with a capacity factor of over 43%.

As per the terms of the contract, Nodex will produce the anchor cages, rotor blades and towers in Turkey. This will enable Adali to claim higher feed-in tariff.

Adali Holding presently operates hydropower and geothermal power stations. In addition, it also has energy licences for 150MW.

Adali plans to install 300MW power capacity of renewable energy, primarily from wind and hydro in Black Sea, eastern Anatolia, southeast Anatolia, Western Thrace and Aegean regions.

In 2014, Nordex secured contracts to supply 215MW of wind turbines to projects in Turkey.
