Nexans will use its Energyflex photovoltaic cables to connect the solar farm. Under the deal the company will manufacture and supply approximately 5,000km of medium and low voltage, photovoltaic cables (PV) and data cables (optical fibre).
The Energyflex cables are durable and are expected to provide high performance in-field connections between the PV panels and the inverters, used for transforming the solar energy into AC electricity.
Located near Bordeaux in southwest France, the project is expected to generate 350 GWh per year of renewable energy and during peak capacity it will generate 300 MW of energy.
The project will include into 25 solar plants and will feature one million solar panels spread across 250 hectares of land.
