The facility expects to contribute around $8.7m to the company’s annual revenue.
Tretheway Creek’s average annual production is estimated to reach 81,000 mw and expects to supply electricity to more than 7,300 British Columbia households every year.
Innergex Renewable Energy president and chief executive officer Michel Letellier said: "We are pleased to have commissioned our 34th facility, reinforcing our leadership position among independent power producers in British Columbia and, indeed, in Canada, with a gross installed capacity totaling more than 1,200 MW.
"This project was realised thanks to the support and collaboration of the Douglas and Sts’ailes First Nations, with whom we enjoy solid long-term relations."

By GlobalDataLast month, Innerge signed a memorandum of understanding with the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) to jointly study a number of renewable energy project opportunities in Mexico.
The main objective of study is to coordinate efforts and develop activities to explore joint collaboration in the development of prospective renewable energy projects, particularly small hydroelectric plants of less than 200 mw by both the companies.
Quebec minister of the economy, innovation and exports Jacques Daoust said: "Thanks to Mexico’s economic reforms, including those in the energy sector, several opportunities are presenting themselves to Quebec companies.
"The agreement between Innergex and CFE represents an opportunity to export our know-how and clearly demonstrates that Quebec’s expertise in the renewable energy sector is recognized around the world."
