The project cost is estimated to be around $1.4bn, and it has already received its draft Environmental Impact Statement from the US Department of Energy.
The Clean energy from Hydro-Québec is expected to help solve the energy challenges faced by the New England power system by switching its power source to renewable from current dependence on natural gas.
