Spanish wind turbine maker Gamesa has signed two turbine supply agreements with Companhia de Energias Renováveis (CER) and Ventos dos Guarás I Energias Renováveis, totaling 98MW.

As per the agreed terms, the company will supply 68MW to CER and 30MW to Ventos dos Guarás I Energias Renováveis.

Scope of the contract with CER includes the supply, transport, installation and commissioning of 34 G97-2.0 MW turbines at the Assuruá II, Assuruá V and Assuruá VII wind farms within the Xique-Xique wind complex.

Under the agreement with Ventos dos Guarás I Energias Renováveis, Gamesa will supply, transport, install and commission 15 G97-2.0 MW turbines at the Ventos dos Guarás I wind farm in the Morrinhos complex.

The wind turbines to CER and Ventos dos Guarás I Energias Renováveis are slated for delivery in the second quarter and third quarter of 2015 respectively.

Construction on the projects is scheduled for completion in December 2015.

Gamesa will also provide the operation and maintenance services at the wind farms for over next 15 years.

As of December 2013, the company had installed around 452MW of wind capacity in Brazil.
