Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Gamesa has secured a contract to install 200MW of wind power capacity at a wind farm located in Coahuila, northern Mexico.
Under the deal, Gamesa will install and commission 95 units of its G114-2.1 MW turbines at the farm.

The company is expecting to deliver the turbines in the first half of this year and the wind power plant is scheduled to be operational by the end of this year.
Since 1999, Gamesa has installed more than 1,700MW capacity in Mexico.
Recently, the company had revealed it plan to build a wind tower factory in collaboration with its Daniel Alonso Group joint venture, Windar Renovables.
The factory, which will produce 500MW of power annually, will be based in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico and is expected to be operational by the end of this year.

By GlobalDataLast December, Gamesa secured a turnkey contract to build a 130MW wind farm in Mexico from Mexico Power Group and First Reserve.
The proposed wind farm, La Bufa, will be located in the state of Zacatecas, Central Mexico.
As part of this deal, Gamesa will install 65 of its G114-2.0 MW turbines at the wind farm. The company will also be responsible for managing all the infrastructure required to install and operate the farm.
The turbines are scheduled to be delivered in this year and the facility is expected to be commissioned by this year too.
