Global investor owned energy supplier E.ON Energy Services (EES) has been selected to provide site management and balance of plant services for two wind farms, owned by D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) in the Pacific Northwest region.

The selected farms include the 45MW Power County facility in Idaho, US and 50MW of aggregated sites located near Huntington, Oregon, US.

E.ON Energy Services president Keith Day said: “These contracts will help us further what has been a very fast growing product line for our services business.

“With the addition of these sites, E.ON Energy Services now manages more than 1,400MW of third party sites to go along with its own 3,000MW portfolio.

“The company operates wind facilities in 12 states and in five different ISOs."

Currently, the company provides asset management, balance of plant, energy management, long-term maintenance and other services to the wind energy generation industry.

Since its launch in 2015, EES has been providing long term contractual services in eight US states.

Day further added: “E.ON Energy Services is well positioned to manage projects for a diverse set of financial and other non-traditional wind farm owners.

“We see the marketplace becoming more diverse and, as an owner, understand the challenges of long-term operations.

“What isn't diverse is our customers' focus on high-quality, safety focused services benefiting their bottom line. Our 'Service with an Owner's Eye' philosophy aligns with those demands.”

In July last year, EES won a deal to manage Novatus Energy’s four wind farms across three states in the US.
