Longhorn wind farm features 100 Vestas turbines with each having a capacity of 2 MW.

Electricity generated from the farm will be sold to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) local power market, under a long-term, fixed-price energy purchase agreement.

According to EDF Renewable, the power generated from the wind farm is equal to the annual electricity consumed by 55,000 homes in Texas.

The company highlighted that the Longhorn wind farm is tied to the Competitive Renewable Energy Zone (CREZ) transmission line which connects wind energy of northern Texas with the high-consumption regions of the state.
