EDF Energies Nouvelles has commissioned the 150MW Geycek wind farm in Turkey.

Located in central Anatolia, the new wind farm has been developed by EDF Energies Nouvelles’ Turkish subsidiary, Polat Enerji.
Polat Enerji has constructed eight wind farms in Turkey Over the past seven years.

In 2013, four wind farms were commissioned which include the extension to the Sayalar wind farm (20MW), the wind farms at Poyraz (54.9MW), Samurlu (30MW) and Kozbeyli (32.2MW).

The Turkish government aims at 20,000MW of wind powered generating capacity by 2023, with some of the wind regimes in Europe.

A total of eight wind farms of more than 500MW have been installed by the company till date in the country which offers favourable natural conditions.

EDF Energies Nouvelles operates renewable energy projects’ development and construction as well as operation and maintenance for its own account and for third parties.
