Construction on the projects has been started in the first quarter of 2014, while commercial operations are slated to begin in late 2014 or early 2015.

Dominion said that all the projects are expected to qualify for the Federal Investment Tax Credit and support its growth plan.

Dominion chairman, president and CEO Thomas F. Farrell II said the projects fit well within firm’s portfolio of regulated and long-term contracted assets.

"This investment is another important step forward for Dominion as we expand our renewable energy portfolio," Farrell II added.
