Cupertino Electric’s Energy Alternatives Division alongside its partner Amec Foster Wheeler has completed installation of one million photovoltaic (PV) modules at the 250-MW Copper Mountain Solar 3 project in Boulder City, Nevada, US..
The parties have completed the installation of solar PV modules on the 1,400-acre, fixed tilt, ground-mount project owned by units of Sempra Energy and Consolidated Edison.
Construction work on this project was initiated in early 2013.
Amec Foster Wheeler vice president construction Tom Dodson said: "We are delighted to have partnered with Cupertino Electric to leverage our global design, engineering and project management expertise to jointly deliver this prominent project to Sempra US Gas & Power and Consolidated Edison Development."
The partnership also covers Consolidated Edison’s 50-MW Alpaugh 50, 20-MW Alpaugh North, 20-MW White River 1 and 20-MW Corcoran 1 solar power stations in California, US.
Cupertino Electric chief commercial officer John Curcio said: "Having worked with Sempra US Gas & Power previously on its jointly-owned Copper Mountain 2 Solar project as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) subcontractor, we were pleased to continue our successful run on this latest project.
