Upon becoming operational in 2015, the wind farm will have the capacity to generate 160 GWh of clean energy, which is enough to power 60,000 Chilean households annually.

The energy generated by the wind farm will be supplied to Chile’s Central Region Transmission Network’s transmission grid, under a contract awarded in 2013.

Construction on the company’s 99MW Taltal wind farm in the country, as well as three solar plants for a total capacity of 136MW is currently underway.

EGP currently owns and operates two hydro plants with a combined capacity of around 92MW in Chile, besides Talinay Oriente and Valle de los Vientos wind farms.
