Global asset managing firm Capital Dynamics Clean Energy Infrastructure (CEI) team has acquired and initiated commercial operations of two UK onshore wind farms, which are said to be the last to receive the UK Renewables Obligation subsidy.

Capital Dynamics CEI team in the UK has been strengthening its position as one of the largest independent managers of operating onshore wind in the region.

Since past one year, Capital Dynamics is reported to have added six new projects to its portfolio located across England and Scotland, taking its total UK onshore wind portfolio count to 16.

Capital Dynamics European CEI business head Simon Eaves said: With a combined capacity of 21MW, the Airfield and Red Gap wind farms will be latest acquisitions made by the Capital Dynamics CEI team.

“With the support of our development partners, we have demonstrated a strong track record in managing construction and bringing mid-market renewables assets to full operations before the expiry of the UK subsidy regimes.

“We look forward to continuing to leverage our expertise in developing and managing renewables investments for the long term as we enter a subsidy-free world.”
