Description

The project was developed by Origin Energy and Stockyard Hill Wind Farm. Nebras Power Investment Management, Palisade Investment Partners and Goldwind Australia are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 49%, 49% and 2% respectively.

The project generates 2,000,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 425,000 households, offsetting 2,000,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2018 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in May 2022.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Origin Energy under a power purchase agreement at the rate of $0.044kWh. The contracted capacity is 527.56MW.

Goldwind Australia was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Stockyard Hill Wind Farm (Stockyard Hill Wind Farm_Phase I) is equipped with Goldwind Science & Technology GW 140/3MW(S) turbines. The phase consists of 128 turbines with 3.57MW nameplate capacity.

Stockyard Hill Wind Farm (Stockyard Hill Wind Farm_Phase II) is equipped with Goldwind Science & Technology GW 140/3MW(S) turbines. The phase consists of 19 turbines with 3.4MW nameplate capacity.

Stockyard Hill Wind Farm (Stockyard Hill Wind Farm_Phase III) is equipped with Goldwind Science & Technology GW 140/3MW(S) turbines. The phase consists of 2 turbines with 3MW nameplate capacity.

Goldwind Australia is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 25 years.

The wind power project consists of Tubular Steel towers supplied by Keppel PrInce Engineering. These towers are around 110m high.
