Technology solutions provider Amentum has been chosen to provide cybersecurity engineering services under two major UK energy frameworks awarded by Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Transmission.
Amentum will serve as the exclusive provider of high-end cybersecurity engineering services aimed at digitising and strengthening the security of the UK energy grid.

SSEN Transmission operates the high-voltage electricity transmission system in the north of Scotland. The company oversees infrastructure that supports the clean energy transition and seeks to deliver a reliable, efficient network for local communities, industry and the wider economy.
Amentum will work on these projects from its offices in Cardiff, London, Glasgow and Warrington.
The company will continue its collaboration with SSEN Transmission, building on security architecture work that began in 2022.
The contracts, lasting three years, task Amentum with supporting the UK’s objectives for its energy transition.

The company is set to use its experience in digital transformation, operational technology, and renewable energy integration as part of these agreements.

In March, SSEN Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission signed contracts with Hitachi Energy and NKT to deliver the Eastern Green Link 3 (EGL3) electricity transmission project in the UK.
