Cadeler has entered into firm contracts worth approximately €805m ($929m) with COSCO Shipping Offshore shipyard in Qidong, China, to build two new T-class offshore wind installation vessels.
The vessels are planned to be delivered in 2030 and 2031.

This move follows Cadeler’s earlier completion of equity financing to support the investment, part of its longer-term plan to expand its offshore wind installation capabilities.
The new T-class vessels have been designed to handle increasingly complex offshore wind projects. They introduce new technologies and operational features beyond current standards within the offshore wind market.
Cadeler expects these vessels to enhance project efficiency, versatility, and performance, and to create new market opportunities.
The latest contract continues Cadeler’s existing relationship with COSCO Shipping Offshore, which has already constructed several vessels under Cadeler’s ongoing fleet expansion programme.

The order is part of Cadeler’s strategy to support the ongoing growth of offshore wind construction in key markets and to strengthen its position in the sector.
Cadeler has begun discussions with potential clients regarding deployment of the new vessels.
In June 2026, Cadeler completed the installation of 100 Siemens Gamesa wind turbines at RWE’s 1.4GW Sofia offshore wind farm in the UK North Sea.
