The company has installed 14 wind turbines of GE each with a capacity of 1.5MW and is also providing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the civil and electrical infrastructure.

RMT Construction Operations vice president Kenny Knecht said this is not only a critical construction milestone, but also a great technical accomplishment for the team, who experienced difficult terrain and unpredictable weather conditions.

"This has been a complex project with challenges from every angle. I am proud of our ability to keep everyone onsite safe and to deliver a quality project to First Wind," Knecht added.

RMT is constructing roads, crane paths and pads, and turbine foundations for the civil infrastructure work.

It is including a 34.5/69kV substation, 34.5kV electrical collection system, and interconnection to the 69kV Maui Electric Company transmission line for the electrical infrastructure.
