“We are very pleased to now partner with DTE on renewable technology in this next phase of our relationship,” Abate added.

The 1.6-100 wind turbines can convert wind energy even in sites that have low wind speed.

DTE Energy will file an application for approval of the fourth project from the Michigan Public Service Commission later this year.

The energy generated from the four projects support Michigan’s renewable portfolio standard to produce 10% of the total power consumption to be generated from renewable sources by 2015.
