Vestas will provide 24 units of the V90 wind turbines each with a generating capacity of 2.0MW.
The V90-2.0MW wind turbines can not only generate high output of electricity even under low wind conditions but also can resist strong winds.
Vestas China president Jens Tommerup said the company started developing projects together with Longyuan in 2004.
"Given our strong track record with the V80-2.0 MW turbines, we are pleased to have won the second Longyuan project using our V90 turbines, which are specifically equipped with a yaw backup system that enhances the protection of the turbines during typhoons," Tommerup added.

Under the contract, the company will also install, supervise and commission the turbines, supply a Vestas Online SCADA system and render a three-year service and maintenance agreement.
The company has repeatedly verified the performance and reliability of the V90-2.0 MW turbine by conducting thorough wind resource analyses.
