By GlobalDataCommenting on the development, Infinergy chief executive Esbjorn Wilmar noted that with its current project pipeline amounting to nearly £650m investment, the company is keen on supporting the Scottish government in achieving its renewable energy targets.
"The strategic commitment they have shown has been helpful for our own long-term investment plans and has encouraged us to make these new commitments," Wilmar added.
Meanwhile, the company is seeking approval for its 24-turbine project at Limekiln in Caithness, besides making proposal with federal government for Tom nan Clach project in Nairnshire.
Also, it is currently engaged in discussions regarding the grid connection timing for its approved Dorenell project in Moray.
"However, we are concerned about the time it takes to go through all the hoops of the planning process but also the significant delays we experience with respect to connecting our consented projects to the grid.
"This causes delays in delivering on our commitments not only to contribute to Government targets but to deliver benefits to local people as well," explained Wilmar.
Nonetheless, all its current projects further the company’s portfolio to 10 projects in the country, the company added in its statement.
