Apex Clean Energy president Mark Goodwin said, the Balko wind project will generate 300MW of clean, renewable, homegrown energy in Oklahoma.
"We are pleased to begin our relationship with WFEC, which will help bring this energy to Oklahoma homes and businesses," Goodwin added.
In October 2013, the company signed a power purchase agreement with the Public Service Company of Oklahoma for the initial 200MW capacity of the project.
The project will provide an estimated $430m investment to the region and is expected to generate significant tax revenues, economic benefits and jobs for Beaver County.
