Martifer Solar, a business unit of Martifer SGPS, has completed a multi-site portfolio of projects in the southern Ontario area, Canada, with combined capacity of 871.3kW, for OZZ Solar.
The company provided engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the PV projects including three PV rooftop installations, which were completed over the course of 2013.

The multi-site installation comprises two rooftop PV projects in Richmond Hill, and one rooftop PV project, situated in Cambridge, Ontario.
Martifer Solar noted that total system utilised about 3,400 crystalline silicon modules, which are expected to allow in producing about 1045.56 MWh per year.
OZZ Solar co-founder and sales vice president Gerry De Luca said the completion of projects is an important milestone for OZZ Solar to showcase commitment to the development of rooftop solar projects in Canada.
"The collaboration with Martifer Solar proved to be successful due to the quality of their staff and their experience in the market, which enabled the company to provide us with cost-saving strategies for the construction process," Luca added.

By GlobalDataMartifer Solar North America region president Pedro Pereira said the projects portfolio is a confirmation of company’s ability to successfully operate within the Canadian market, especially within the rooftop segment of the industry.
"The Company intends to ramp up its activities and become a leading player in the Canadian market. We see great potential in the country and a large amount of untapped market share of which Martifer Solar is looking forward to take part," Pereira added.
Martifer Solar, which is based in Portugal, has presence in different countries of Europe, North and Latin America, Africa and Asia, while Euro OZZ is engaged in developing rooftop solar projects.
