JinkoSolar has been awarded contracts to supply 100MW of modules for two PV projects in Chile.
The two projects are located in Chile’s Atacama Desert region, which comprises one of the highest irradiation levels in the world.

First of the two projects, the Lalackama PV plant will generate approximately 132 millions of kWh of electricity annually. The project will consist of 60 MW and will include 197,000 JinkoSolar high-efficiency PV Solar modules.
Located in the Municipality of Diego De Almagro, the second project will consist of 40MW and is likely to generate approximately 88 million kWh of electricity power annually.
JinkoSolar emerging market sales director Alberto Cuter said that the company has further strengthened its position as one of the largest PV module suppliers in Chile.
"The increase in demand for renewable energy has turned Chile into one of the principal solar markets, and by signing those contracts, we are continuing our strategy to diversify into emerging markets," Cuter added.
