Private equity firms Capital Dynamics and Prudential Capital have completed financing of the phase I of the 300MW Green Pastures onshore wind project in Texas, US.
Construction on the project, which is located in Baylor and Knox counties in North Texas, is currently underway.
The wind farm will be completed in two phases, each with about 150MW of generation capacity.
Upon completion, the project will generate clean energy that will be enough to power about 110,000 homes and reduce 813,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions a year.
The electricity generated at the project will be purchased by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas.
Acciona Windpower will deliver 100 AW 116/3000 turbines for the project as well as provide operations and maintenance services for 10 years.
