Wind power solution provider Suzlon has started operations at the 65.1MW Artilleros wind farm in Uruguay.
Located on state-owned land near Tarariras city, Colonia province, the project, which has been developed by Rouar is the first joint venture between Brazil and Uruguay.

Rouar is an entity formed by Brazil’s federal power firm Electrobras and Uruguayan partner Administración Nacional de Usinas y Trasmisiones Eléctricas (UTE).
Suzlon has delivered 31 of its S95-90 wind turbine models for the project.
Suzlon chairman Tulsi Tanti said: "Suzlon is committed to contribute to Uruguay’s energy basket by reducing its carbon footprint and achieve the country’s vision of energy security and low carbon economy."
