Enel Green Power has joined the 102MW Sureste I-Phase II wind farm in Oaxaca, Mexico to the national grid, following its development.
Ixtepec Potencia substation, which is located nearby, will supply the wind energy generated at the facility to the grid.

The wind project, featuring 34 turbines having a capacity of 3MW each, is likely to produce 390 GWh of energy every year.
Enel Green Power has invested nearly $160m for the project, it said.
BBVA Bancomer Group has also provided a $100m loan to Enel Green Power for the project, a part of which had been spent on its development.
The Italian power company had acquired the project contract through a public tender held by Mexican state utility Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE).
