Located in Sandviken, towards east Sweden, the Mombyåsen project order entails the delivery, deployment and commissioning of ten V126-3.3 MW turbines along with a 10-year active output management (AOM) 5000 service agreement.

Delivery of the turbines is slated to take place in the second quarter of 2016 and the commissioning is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2016.

The Mombyåsen project has been developed by Arise AB, a wind projects developer with a large base in Sweden.

Although the project was acquired by Allianz from Arise AB on 6 August, construction of the wind power plant will also be overseen by Arise AB.

Vestas Northern Europe president Klaus Steen Mortensen said: "We appreciate our partnership with both Allianz and Arise, and we thank them for choosing Vestas’ state-of-the-art technology with the lowest cost of energy.

"We look forward to a close collaboration from the earliest stages of the project through to completion and operation."

In March, Vestas won a 122MW order from Allianz for Sorby project in central Sweden. In this project, Vestas will supply 37 V117-3.3MW turbines.

Allianz Capital Partners manages alternative investments for Allianz Group. It is one of the largest financial investors in renewable energy with combined generation capacity of more than 1,200MW.
